POOLE PIRATES

CHRIS Holder continued his sensational debut Elite League season with a 15-point maximum in Poole’s 59-33 win over Belle Vue.

The result puts the Pirates four-points clear of Swindon at the top of the Elite League in the race for a play-off place.

Boss Neil Middleditch said: “For a guy in his first season of Elite League racing Chris is just fantastic, he was head and shoulders above any Aces rider.”

NEWCASTLE DIAMONDS

NEWCASTLE’S Christian Henry faces a race against time to make it for Saturday’s Premier League Fours Championship at Workington.

Henry is suffering from damaged tendons in his shoulder and is in a sling and is likely to have a fitness test on Friday.

Manager George English said: “We need Christian for the Fours and the return meeting with Sheffield at our place on Sunday, he’s an important rider.”

SCUNTHORPE SCORPIONS
