All roads lead to Workington's well-appointed Derwent Park for the fourth event of the 2008 Super 7even series on Saturday 26 July, when Reading will compete in the Premier League Four-Team Championship.

Eight sides will do battle for the prestigious title, initially split into two groups of four, with the top two from each subsequently contesting the final.

The meeting is backed by Moss Bay Metals and the action gets underway at 7.00 p.m. Prior to that, the gates are scheduled to open at 5.00 p.m. and there will also be an autograph session with the riders.

The Racers will be without the services of Ulrich Ostergaard, who is still recuperating from the hand injury he picked up in the home league match against Edinburgh on 13 July.

Czech ace Tomas Suchanek steps in to fill the Dane's place, as he is the next rider in line in the Reading averages.

Promoter Malcolm Holloway said: "The Fours is a very popular tournament in the speedway calendar. As there is just one rider per team in each race, it provides cut-throat racing. It is also a very colourful event, as there is always a good mix of supporters from all over the UK.

"It's a blow for us to be taking part without Ulrich [Ostergaard], but we still have a four-man side and they are all professionals.

"Anything can happen in an event like this and you always need a certain amount of luck, so we hoping to at least progress from our group to the final."
