BELLE VUE ACES

BILLY Forsberg will have a special reason to do well in Belle Vue’s 80th Anniversary celebration meeting next Monday.

Forsberg’s grandfather, Dan, was a top rider in the 1950s and he will be joined by World Champions Ove Fundin and Peter Collins at the big event.

Forsberg said: "Often I only see him once a year so I want to do well for him at Belle Vue."

STOKE POTTERS

BARRIE Evans has asked to be left out of Stoke’s team – in order to take a break from racing.

The former Hull man is struggling for form and confidence and needs some time out of the sport.

He said: “I just don't feel at all good about my racing and it’s all getting on top of me so I need to go away and clear my head.”
