COVENTRY BEES
CHRIS Harris has escaped serious injury after a high speed crash during Coventry’s 51-42 home defeat by Lakeside.
Harris was taken to hospital for x-rays on his back but the club have confirmed he has sustained bad bruising.
Bees chief Colin Pratt said: “We’re naturally relieved that nothing is broken and it remains to be seen whether he can ride for us on Friday against Wolverhampton.”
EASTBOURNE EAGLES
EASTBOURNE boosted their play-off hopes with a hard fought 48-45 win at Wolverhampton.
The Eagles are in a good position to challenge for a place in the top four after seeing off a late Wolves rally to secure the win.
Easgles boss Trevor Geer said: “I’ve always said we’re a good side and this win underlines that. We’re not giving up on a place in the top four.”
