WORLD CUP

UNLIKELY hero Niels Kristian Iversen admitted he was in dreamland after winning the World Cup for Denmark on Saturday.

The Wolverhampton star got the better of Poland’s Tomasz Gollob, who was on double points, in the penultimate race in Vojens. Sweden finished third with Australia fourth.

Said Iversen: “I can’t believe it worked out like that because I had struggled until then, it’s like a dream for me!”

BELLE VUE ACES

JASON Crump is likely to miss Belle Vue's home match with Peterborough on Monday after suffering a wrist injury in the World Cup final in Denmark on Saturday.

He is seeing a specialist to determine the full extent of the damage.

Aces' team boss Chris Morton said: "Jason says the chances of him riding are not good but we will have to wait until he has seen his specialist."
