SMEDERNA - VARGARNA 64-32
Attendence: 2879

After losing by 22 points last week, Smederna turned it around completely by demolishing Vargarna in the bottom end clash. Billy Hamill was back and scored a paid fourteen.

Not much went to the away team, Leigh Lanham however won both reserve heat races and Berwick Bandit Andreas Bergström pulled off a shocker in winning heat 13, ahead of Hamill, Nicholls and Zagar! Not to much comfort for manager Åke Bergström I would guess...

VMS ELIT - BAJEN SPEEDWAY 71-25
Attendence: 4304

Newcomers Bajen Speedway, without Jesper B Jensen, Joonas Kylmäkorpi, Nicki Pedersen and Rafal Szombierski, never stood a chance against a full strength VMS Elit team. It was as simple as that.

VMS Elit (home) 71
1. Lee Richardson 1-2*-3-3 = 9+1 (4)
2. Peter Ljung 3-3-3-3-3 = 15 (5)
3. Jaroslaw Hampel 3-2*-2*-2*-3 = 12+3 (5)
4. David Ruud 2*-3-3-2*-2* = 12+3 (5)
5. Rune Holta 2-2-3-2*-2* = 11+2 (5)
6. Tomasz Jedrzejak 3-1*-0-2* = 6+2 (4)
7. Thomas H Jonasson 1-2*-0-3 = 6+1 (4)
8. Niklas Larsson

Bajen Speedway (away) 25
1. Stefan Dannö 0-1-0-N-0-1 = 2 (5)
2. Freddie Eriksson 2-1-1-1-1*-0-1 = 7+1 (7)
3. Nicki Pedersen R/R (1,1,1,-)
4. Adam Skornicki T/T-1-Ef-1-N-1 = 3 (5)
5. Tomasz Gapinski 3-0-3-2-1-Ef-R = 9 (7)
6. Robin Johansson N-N-N-N = 0 (0)
7. Mariusz Wegrzyk 2-0-Fx-1-1-Ef = 4 (6)
8. Kim Nilsson 0-0-0 = 0 (3)

Changes:
2: Johansson > R/C > Nilsson
3: Skornicki > T/T > Nilsson
5: Johansson > R/C > Wegrzyk
9: Dannö > T/S > Gapinski
10: Johansson > T/S > Eriksson
11: Johansson > R/C > Nilsson
14: Skornicki (R/R) > T/S > Dannö

1 [65.9]: Ljung, Eriksson, Richardson, Dannö. 4-2, 4-2.
Looked like a double victory but the team ride from the home pair wasn´t perfect, Richardson got stuck on the outside and Eriksson passed him exiting bend two on lap three. Dannö never in it.

2 [66.0]: Jedrzejak, Wegrzyk, Jonasson, Nilsson. 4-2, 8-4.
Throw a blanket over the three...at least for two laps! Jedrzejak eventually passed Wegrzyk on lap three for the heat victory.

3 [66.1]: Hampel, Ruud, Dannö (R/R), Nilsson. 5-1, 13-5.
First to last were divided by an entire straight. Hampel shed a chain on the final bend but was so far ahead that he still rolled in as heat winner.

4 [66.2]: Gapinski, Holta, Jedrzejak, Wegrzyk. 3-3, 16-8.
From the gate. Holta seemed caught by the track and almost hit the fence after a lap, he never recovered and Gapinski won easily. Jedrzejak comfortable in third.

5 [66.8]: Ljung, Jonasson, Skornicki, Wegrzyk (Fx). 5-1, 21-9.
Wegrzyk lead after a lap but was passed by both Jonasson and Ljung on the first/second bend of lap two and then fell under pressure from Ljung entering bend three, and was excluded, it seemed correct. Re-run from the gate.

6 [66.9]: Ruud, Hampel, Eriksson, Dannö. 5-1, 26-10.
Tapes to flag.

7 [67.0]: Ljung, Richardson, Eriksson (R/R), Skornicki (Ef). 5-1, 31-11.
Ljung and Richardson side by side for four laps. Eriksson at least tried to look interested but Skornicki suffered an engine failure while dead last after two laps.

8 [66.9]: Ruud, Hampel, Wegrzyk, Gapinski. 5-1, 36-12.
The home riders were sixty meters ahead of Wegrzyk, not particulary interesting.

9 [66.0]: Gapinski, Holta, Eriksson, Jedrzejak. 2-4, 38-16.
Gapinski went around Holta on the second bend to win it, Holta never got close! Eriksson comfortable third ahead of Jedrzejak.

10 [67.1]: Richardson, Gapinski, Eriksson, Jonasson. 3-3, 41-19.
Richardson passed Gapinski on the first lap but Eriksson managed to save a tied heat as he blasted inside Jonasson entering bend three of the final lap.

11 [67.5]: Jonasson, Jedrzejak, Wegrzyk, Nilsson. 5-1, 46-20.
Jonasson by miles. Jedrzejak happy to settle in behind him for a paid win.

12 [67.7]: Holta, Ruud, Gapinski (R/R), Eriksson. 5-1, 51-21.
Gapinski gated but both Holta and Ruud flew by him on the backstraight of the opening lap to win comfortably.

13 [69.0]: Ljung, Hampel, Skornicki, Dannö. 5-1, 56-22.
It takes two to tango, but no dance here...

14 [68.6]: Richardson, Holta, Dannö, Gapinski (Ef). 5-1, 61-23.
Richardson opened up for Holta on the opening bends for another double victory. Gapinski had an engine failure while third with two laps remaining.

15 [66.9]: Hampel, Holta, Skornicki, Wegrzyk (Ef). 5-1, 66-24.
Another trashing with Wegrzyk having an engine failure while third on the final bend.

16 [68.3]: Ljung, Ruud, Eriksson, Gapinski (R). 5-1, 71-25.
Gapinski retired while last with a lap to go.

For VMS Elit,
All riders produced the goods in an one sided affair.

For Bajen Speedway,
Gapinski made a couple of good starts and was able to hold on and Eriksson tried hard for his points but that was it.

Man of the match: Peter Ljung

Most exciting rider: Freddie Eriksson
