Plymouth return to competitive action at the St Boniface Arena on Friday evening (7.30pm) when they face South Coast rivals Weymouth in the Conference Trophy.

The return match takes place at Weymouth the following evening with the overall winners meeting Boston or Buxton in the final.

The Devils retain the side that beat Boston 60-32 in the Conference League a fortnight ago and will be looking to repeat their early season Devon and Dorset Trophy double over the Wildcats.

Weymouth make one change from the side that went down 61-29 at the St Boniface Arena on April 18 with Kyle Newman replacing Alex McLeod at reserve.

The Wildcats will be spearheaded by experienced number one Jon Armstrong and 23-year-old Australian Jay Herne. They will be supported by Luke Priest, Karl Mason and 15-year-old Brendan Johnson from Poole.

Newman, a 16-year-old also from Poole, will be joined at reserve by former Plymouth rider Tim Webster.

Plymouth:
Seemond Stephens, Kyle Hughes, Nicki Glanz, Ben Hopwood, Tom Brown. Reserves: Jaimie Pickard, Paul Starke.

Weymouth:
Jon Armstrong, Brendan Johnson, Luke Priest, Karl Mason, Jay Herne. Reserves: Tim Webster, Kyle Newman.
