Edinburgh Speedway: Thomas injured - will miss weekend.

Monarchs have received the disappointing news from Sweden that Thomas Jonasson will not be fit to ride this weekend after a crash in Sweden.

He tangled with Daniel Nermark in the VMS Elite v Praterna Swedish Elite match on Tuesday. The Swedish results website says of heat 2: “Nasty crash as Jonasson fell on the first bend and got run over by Törnqvist.”

He completed the meeting but has leg and rib injuries, and after visiting his doctor has pulled out of tonight’s Allsvenskan League match and his other matches this week.

Rider replacement will apply but this is disappointing news as we thought we would have our 7-man team for the important fixtures over the weekend.
