Peterborough Speedway: Pantrhers seek better showing at Foxhall.

Panthers visit Foxhall on Bank Holiday Monday, and again will be looking for a much better away performance than in recent weeks and substantially better than the previous Craven Shield occasion in March.

The Witches have recently been affected by a serious injury to their captain Chris Louis, and as this report was going to press, they had yet to decide whether they would be using a guest or rider replacement.

Ipswich like the Panthers, have recently swapped their riding order around with Robert Miskowiak moving to no 3 to partner the new captain Steve Johnston.

This match will complete three home and three away for Ipswich which will mean Interim changes for them in May, whilst Panthers have already completed the required quota when racing at Wolverhampton last week, and are effective for this match.

Claus Vissing, after a real impressive start to the season, moves up into the main body of the team to partner Kenneth Bjerre whilst Sam Simota would have replaced him in the reserves, but for getting injured whilst racing for his Polish team Lodz midweek.

With Panthers no 8 James Cockle now unavailable, Simotaâ's reserve place goes to Redcar's Tyron Procter who continues to impress this year in the Premier League.

Henrik Moller, who was believed to have broken a bone in his hand following his crash in Denmark last weekend, rode for his Danish Team Holsted on Wednesday and came through with no problems and is expected to take his place accordingly.

Panthers no 2 Kenneth Bjerre said: "Ipswich are quite good and going quite well this year, I will concede itâ's not my favourite track, but if I can gate at Ipswich then I will do okay, because if you are winning the gate you are winning the race.  It wonâ't be easy, but they will miss Chris Louis because he is such a good rider around Foxhall”.

Team Manager Trevor Swales said: This match is going to be difficult for us as I take absolutely no notice whatsoever of the fact that they are currently bottom of the league, even without Chris Louis they are a capable side but I am looking for a much better performance from our team.

It was very disappointing to hear Sam Simota had got injured whilst racing for his Polish team after the problems he has had this year, and at the moment its unclear how long he will be out. I have spoken at length to his partner and wish him well in his recovery.

"I saw Ty Procter race at Mildenhall recently and was impressed with him so have booked him to replace Sam for this match, it will be interesting to see how he goes. We are still currently working behind the scenes to improve the team and when we have fresh news we will release it."

Co Promoter Mick Bratley said: "Ipswich on a Bank Holiday Monday usually means a large crowd.  I hope we can put on a good performance for them, as we have been really poor away from home this season.  It will be a good opportunity for the side to turn things around and I really hope they can all step up to the plate."
