Another wonderful night of weather beamed down on the Welland track.

The scene was set for a great meeting and with the program set, it was time for the races to begin! The Division 2 riders came ready for action and this they did. Katalin Davis was up from the USA following her success on Friday at Paris. She wanted to show that her skill at the large track was also to be feared by the other riders. Terry Rideout, John Bennett, Tim Murray and Allan Chisholm lined up against Katalin to see if they could beat her!

During the Final race for the Division 2 event, the race was action packed from start to finish. Tim Murray came out of the gate like a man possessed and took a great lead from Katalin, Terry and John who were all trying to catch Tim. On the 3rd bend Katalin pushed too hard and went down very heavily right in front of Terry Rideout. Terry with nowhere to go crashed hard into Katalin's bike and the meeting was held up while they regained composure and restarted 15 yards back.

With Terry and Katalin back this gave Tim another chance to blast away, but a determined Katalin, flew past all the field to take a very impressive win! - good job young lady! The Division 1 boys were also ready, with a 2-heat set-up, they all had some solid racing with Joe Heye pulling a beautiful inside/outside move to get a good win. Aaron Hesmer struggled a bit in his first heat, but did some mechanical work and corrected this problem.

Jeff Orosz, John Kehoe and Rob Dixon were also having their own battles throughout the races and Jeff looked a certain winner on the night. The "Hotdog" Freddie Legault took a leaf out of son Kyle's book and took the track by storm in the Division 1 B main final - He just went flat out and deservedly took the checkered flag! Doing so, despite having a first corner collision with Gary Hesmer and both ending up feeling very battered and bruised. Luckily they were able to re-run the race and Freddie took a good lead to win!

The Main A Final was set to be a good one - Aaron Hesmer, Joe Heye, Jeff Orosz, John Kehoe and Rob Dixon all took their assigned places on the starting gate. From the gate, Aaron Hesmer took a good firm lead and held it too the end, but the best pass was John Kehoe on Joe Heye, Joe thinking that John was outside him moved over to take the line and John zoomed inside to safely get his spot.
