The Edinburgh Falcons reign as Northern Knock Out Cup holders came to an abrupt end today (17th May) at Astley & Tyldesley as they were soundly beaten in the first semi-final of this years competition.
Up against Stoke, Heckmondwike and Sheffield, the task was made more difficult for the four man team after Craig Newsome’s day came to and end with a suspected broken finger. With no travelling reserve any hopes of reaching the final were over.
The strong Stoke side are now this years deserved Senior Knock Out Cup winners with Sheffield taking the Junior title.
