The meeting was tied with three heats to go but a 4-2 in heat 14 meant the home side took the command once again. Stefan Dannö and Krzysztof Jablonski then sealed the match in the first nomination heat with a double victory against Screen/Compton.

8. Robert Pettersson 0 = 0 (1)

Changes:
10: Johnston > T/S > Lindgren
14: Lindbäck > R/C > Aldén

1 [66.1]: Richardson, Ljung, Stead, Lindgren (R/R). 5-1, 5-1.
Ljung all the way, joined by Richardson on bend two as Richardson had cut back on Lindgren for the pass. After a couple of laps, Stead overtook the chase and got closer, but not close enough for a pass.

2 [65.4]: Aldén, Paluch, Johnston, Jonasson (F). 2-4, 7-5.
Aldén comfortably in first place, Paluch equally comfortable in second. Good battle for third as Johnston and Jonasson swapped places before Jonasson slid off trying to pass Johnno on the outside of bends one/two of lap two.

3 [65.3]: Watt, Hampel, Lindgren, Jedrzejak. 2-4, 9-9.
Watt swooped Hampel on bend two for the win while Lindgren passed Jedrzejak after a lap for the tie. Jedrzejak tried his best to regain third but couldn't.

4 [65.1]: Holta, Lindbäck, Aldén, Paluch. 3-3, 12-12.
Bit of a battle on the first lap before the riders settled down.

5 [66.7]: Ljung, Jonasson, Johnston, Watt. 5-1, 17-13.
From the gate. Watt stuck behind Johnston and couldn't catch Jonasson.

6 [65.2]: Hampel, Jedrzejak, Lindbäck (R/R), Stead. 5-1, 22-14.
Hampel gated and left. Lindbäck missed the gate completely but made his way past Stead, closed in on Jedrzejak and was only a whisker away at the line.

7 [65.9]: Ljung, Watt, Lindgren, Richardson. 3-3, 25-17.
Ljung all the way. Lindgren blasted around Richardson on lap two for a tied heat.

8 [65.0]: Hampel, Lindbäck, Aldén, Jedrzejak. 3-3, 28-20.
All riders evenly spread out on the track.

9 [65.4]: Stead, Holta, Watt (R/R), Paluch. 2-4, 30-24.
Nice move by Stead on bends one/two for the overtake on Holta and a comfortable win. Watt easily in third place.

10 [66.4]: Jonasson, Lindgren, Richardson, Lindbäck (F). 4-2, 34-26.
Lindbäck looped at the gate but was able to clear his bike. Jonasson held the inside line on bend two for the pass on Lindgren entering the backstraight on the opening lap. Jonasson cruised away but Lindgren made a last bend attack and went up side by side with Jonasson entering bend three of lap four, pushing Jonasson wider who refused to give up and held on for the win on the line. Great stuff!

11 [66.7]: Jonasson, Aldén, Johnston, Paluch. 3-3, 37-29.
Looked like a double victory at first but Aldén and Johnston passed Paluch on each side going down the backstraight. Jonasson never in trouble.

12 [66.0]: Stead, Lindgren, Holta, Jedrzejak. 1-5, 38-34.
Stead had another flyer! Lindgren made his way past Holta on the second lap to keep the meeting alive.

13 [66.0]: Hampel, Stead (R/R), Ljung, Watt. 4-2, 42-36.
Hampel from the gate but Ljung gained a crucial one point at this stage as he passed Watt on the second lap.

14 [66.4]: Holta, Richardson, Lindgren, Aldén. 5-1, 47-37.
Lindgren all over Richardson without a pass being made.

15 [67.3]: Richardson, Holta, Johnston, Pettersson. 5-1, 52-38.
Holta passed Johnston on second lap.

16 [66.1]: Hampel, Lindgren, Ljung, Stead. 4-2, 56-40.
Ljung passed Lindgren on bend three of the opening lap but Lindgren got his second place back. Stead tried hard to make an impact but wasn't really close this time.

For VMS Elit,
Richardson has been better, looked slow all night. Ljung was impressive as always around Vetlanda, even though he cooled off toward the final stages. Hampel was razor sharp out of the gate to win his points. Jedrzejak tried hard in some heats but wasn't lucky tonight. Holta gated well but was actually passed on several occassions, a shock around Vetlanda. Paluch put himself in scoring positions more often than the score suggest but wasn't fast enough and was passed. Jonasson was excellent even though he overcooked it in his first.

For MasarnaAvesta,
Stead started slow but got going and was super fast after those dodgy first couple of rides. Lindgren worked hard for his points and was worth all he got. Watt started very well, but faded. Lindbäck didn't do much and withdrew after his loop at the gates in this fourth outing, didn't look too bad of a fall really. Johnston, well, I expected more. Aldén was good but not flashy. Pettersson only had one ride, won't judge him on that.

Man of the match: Thomas H Jonasson

Most exciting rider: Fredrik Lindgren
