The Canterbury Solo team has suffered from its first hic cup, as team captain Larry Ross has been forced to withdraw from the meeting.
A troublesome foot after the Burt Munro meeting has not healed as expected and a broken bone has been identified as the principle cause. This leaves team manager Ian Graham in a little bit of a dilemma. He needs to pull in another rider from the support class to replace Ross, or will be forced to implement the rider replacement policy which will place some extra pressure on the Canterbury team. Southland will now go into the challenge with a little more confidence.
The Speedcross (Speedway on a MX bike) class is closed. More than enough entries were received by the closing date for the first trial run. Many thanks to the Ross, Green and Aldridge racing teams who have donated some used speedway tyres to be distributed around, free of charge, as they assist these riders to enter into the spirit of the speedway meeting.
Late entries in the other classes will be accepted on the day, with the appropriate fee applying.
