WOLVERHAMPTON’S David Howe has joined Premier League Scunthorpe in a season-long loan deal.

Howe will team up with ex-Wolf Magnus Karlsson at the Lincolnshire club next season for his first-ever season in the middle tier of the sport.

Wolves owner Chris Van Straaten said: “It’s a mystery how David saw his career go down so badly with us last season, the lad himself admits he cannot really put his finger on it.

“We wish him well for his season with Scunthorpe and will watch his performances closely. I would never rule out seeing him in Wolverhampton colours again, but the time is right for him to move on for next season.”
