Panthers promoter Mick Bratley reckons that losing to Wolves in the relegation play off's this week, is not an option his club has considered.
Bratley said: "The league form guide this season shows how much better than Wolves we have been and how unlucky we are to find ourselves in this position by virtue of race points difference only. We have had a turbulent season with a change of ownership two thirds of the way through the season and at that point we have turned things around and been excellent. Meanwhile, Wolves have been pretty toothless all season. Losing over two legs will not be an option for us, it is something we haven't even considered."
The Panthers bullish mood is further backed up by the fact that the club have already organised an end of season meeting for the week following the matches with Wolves, when others may have considered delaying this should they lose over two legs to Wolves.
Bratley added: "We have an end of season pairs and firework spectacular scheduled for Friday 24th October at the Showground and I certainly don't envisage us cancelling that to race against a club from the Premier League, in fact we have been promoting the meeting locally for some time now, such is our confidence".
Panthers have drafted in Rory Schlein to guest for them in both meetings this week in place of the unavailable Ryan Sullivan who has been deemed to be witholding his services from the club.
