All End-of-an-Era tickets, including the Celebration Meal on Saturday 18 October and those for the race meeting itself on Sunday 19 October, will be available to purchase at Sunday's home Young Shield encounter with the Redcar Bears.

There will be a ticketing area situated just inside the main gate and this will be open from when the public are admitted to the stadium at 4.30 p.m.

With a 12-point deficit to overcome, the Racers entertain Redcar at Smallmead Stadium on Sunday 5 October in the second leg of their Young Shield quarter-final tie, with the action getting underway at 6.00 p.m.

In two seasons of activity prior to this year, Redcar have finished their league programme in sixth (2006) and ninth (2007) positions, and they concluded the latter term in fine style by battling through to the Young Shield Final and winning the trophy, courtesy of an aggregate 95-84 victory over Birmingham.

The early months of this season saw the club rocked by injuries and rain-offs, but they have recovered well during the latter part of the campaign to finish strongly and attain a top seven position.

Skipper Gary Havelock and ever-dependable Scotsman James Grieves have formed a potent spearhead, while young Aussie Ty Proctor has made an outstanding contribution in his first year of domestic UK racing.

Once again, Reading will operate rider replacement for Tomas Suchanek in the No. 2 slot, whilst the Czech ace recuperates from the hefty knock he recently sustained in his homeland.

Meanwhile, the Isle of Wight's Kiwi star Andrew Bargh has been selected as the guest rider to fill the No. 6 position.

Said Racers' boss Malcolm Holloway: "I think the margin that we have to overcome is manageable and we should be able to pull back the 12 points.

"Obviously, in order for that to happen, we need everyone to pull their weight and show us all what we know they can do.

"The support of our fans will be vital. The lads will need that bit of extra backing from the terraces and that should spur them on to get the result we need for progression into the semi-final of the competition."
