RYE HOUSE ROCKETS
RYE House star Tai Woffinden won the Premier League Riders' Championship in front of a bumper attendance at Sheffield.
Woffinden held off the challenge of Somerset's Jason Doyle in the Final with Adrian Rymel of Berwick finishing third.
Woffinden said: "It means so much to do it at a track like Sheffield, I had to work hard for it and I'm delighted to win the meeting."
WOLVERHAMPTON WOLVES
WOLVERHAMPTON are set for further talks with David Howe after dropping him from their team to face Birmingham in the Midland Shield.
Monmore bosses made their decision after Howe failed to score in last Thursday's Elite League defeat at Coventry.
Promoter Chris Van Straaten said: "He is disappointed with the decision, but I'm sure the supporters will understand why we felt we had no alternative but to take this action."
