Round 3 of the Edinburgh Fours took place at Redbraes today (21st Sep 2008). 

Any thoughts of an easy days racings were quickly dispelled from the off as some fast and furious racing, along with a couple of exclusions, took place on a well prepared track.

The first match had Portobello facing Redbraes in what looked like a fight for 2nd place in the Fours League.  An eventual 7 – 3 heat advantage in the last heat for Portobello eventually turning round what was a 1 point deficit into a 3 point win.

The 2nd match had Fours League Leaders Lothian facing a Glasgow side yet to post a win but who were ultimately made to fight all the way to the last heat to secure their overall win by one point and top place in the Fours league.
