Following a noon track inspection at the Arena-Essex Raceway and having taken into account the very latest weather forecasts tonight’s Sky Sports Elite League match between the Lakeside Hammers and the Wolverhampton Wolves has been called off.

The next home match for the Hammers will now be on Wednesday 10th September at 7.45pm when the opponents will be the Belle Vue Aces led by Australian Jason Crump.

The Wolverhampton match has been rescheduled and will now take place on Wednesday 17th September also at 7.45pm. This means that there will now be two home Sky Sports Elite League fixtures that week as the Hammers also face the Peterborough Panthers on Friday 19th September (8pm start).

The Lakeside Hammers, who are currently in second place in the Sky Sports Elite League, will be looking to consolidate that League position with victories from these remaining home matches and claim a home tie in the play-off semi final.
