New look Birmingham face Premier League title hopefuls Somerset Rebels in a mouthwatering meeting at Perry Barr on Wednesday (7.45pm).
The BRC Roofing Brummies hand a debut to Danish youngster Kenneth Hansen, who has joined on loan from Wolves for the rest of the season.
Hansen is joined by fans' favourite James Birkinshaw, who will get a massive welcome back after a month out of the saddle.
Birmingham boss Graham Drury said: "The moves have gone down well with our supporters and we're looking forward to seeing the new team on track. We look stronger than any time in the last month so we'll just see how it goes. Hopefully we'll get a big crowd and a superb night of racing."
Somerset include former Premier League title winner Emil Kramer, who won it with Hull in 2004, and former Birmingham man Brent Werner is at reserve. The Californian was the first skipper of the Brummies in their relaunch season last year, but later retired having lost his appetite for racing.
The meeting will be followed immediately by an Academy meeting featuring the Mercom Bulls against Somerset Giants.
