It's a 6.30pm start for Speedway fans at the South Tees Motorsport Park, South Bank, Middlesbrough this Thursday evening when the Redcar 'TLS/Simpson Racing UK' Cubs take on both the Rye House Cobras and the Boston Barracudas in a Conference League double-header.
Cubs team manager Jason Pipe has clearly outlined to his squad that they must win both these matches and the forthcoming home fixtures against the Weymouth Wildcats and the Sittingbourne Crusaders in order to qualify for the League play-offs in October.
Pipe keeps new signing Adam McKinna, prolific Aaron Summers and regular Redcar Bears reserve Benji Compton back for the second fixture of the evening against Boston with the added incentive for certain team members in the first match against Rye House to impress him sufficiently to gain the number six racejacket when the Barracudas are on track.
Scott James - who has earned due praise from his team manager for his consistent double-figure contributions to the Cubs cause - plus another recent signing James Cockle feature in both encounters as heat leaders with the up and coming Richard Lawson retained at second reserve.
The meeting is sponsored by North East Bearings & transmission of Middlesbrough.
Admission prices are £10 adults, £8 concessions with children FREE.
