Div 1 champion Daniel Pudney
The LeFevre club has done a bit of work to the track surface and the results were good as fast times and a pretty smooth track were the results.

With the days forecast of rain and wind , the club was happy to see the rain hold off but a very persistent headwind  , of up to 30 knot blasts down the backstraight , made hard work for all riders and almost stopped some of the tinytots.

With the place looking , as pretty as a picture , it seemed a shame to go out and race on it , but, they did and it stayed that way for the entire meet with only a slight touchup with the broom and a smidgen of water to keep it that way. I spoke to one guy who should know this track pretty well , Daniel Pudney and he said the trackwas great although a bit slippery going onto the back straight.

The riders (all sixty one of them) did their parade lap and lined up facing the infield while the ref (Megan Rufus) did a quick inspection of all bikes ,just to make sure all was above board and then returned the riders to the pits for the commencement of racing.

Up first were the TinyTots 5X1lap , sponsored by B.E.SWITCHCRAFT, because this is a non-competitive field all riders recied a little trophy for their efforts. Those riders were, Jack Lewis , Robert Corsaro , Ben Pudney , Emily Makepeace , Zander Coppins , Jacob Pudney , Cody Woite , Declan Playfair , Nathan White , Locke Pearce and Delaccia Pride.

Division Seven over 5 heats of 2 laps , had four starters , Sponsored by Ace Printing Supplies 449 Victoria Rd Taperoo. Jack Norman was the standout rider  with a point shy of a maximum (19) over Michael Radcliff (14) Kian bird third on (12) and , fourth was Karah Shultz on (5).

Division Six over 5 heats of 3 laps , sponsored by Port Adelaide Landscape & Gardening supplies , had five starters so only one wasn't going to be amongst the trophies. Salisbury rider Jake Kerley had a good day out and had four wins to take the div out with (16) Lachlan Irvine put up a great show for second on (13).

The next three riders fought out the next two spots in great style with third going to Luke Poole on (8) one point up over Accacia Pride on (7) and just missing out with a big effort was Jayden Sansbury a point off on (6).

Division Five also over 3 laps and five heats  was sposored by THE BOATHOUSE TAVERN,Six riders contested this division with Baden Makepeace (20) winning from Plymouth Christian (13) third saw Shiranta Aston get (10) and fourth was Billy Bax on (7).

Division Four had elleven starters over 3 laps of 2X5 and 1X3 grids in 4 heats . To say this wasn't a closely fought out division would be way off the mark as the first three riders all tied on (15) the next rider had (14)!Jarryd Lillyman was unlucky to miss out with three seconds and a third.

Lucy Millikin , Nicole Kinross and Josh Debattista tossed for grid positions while Robbie Vella got a gift wen he was handed grid two out of it all.The final was won by Josh Debattista over Nicole Kinross , Robbie Vella and Lucy Millikin.

Division three (first of the big bikes) and my rider of the championships went to my grandson , Anthony Daniels , for the ride he put up in the final. There were six starters in 5 heats over 3 laps , sponsored by PIZZAS 4 U ...8341 9744 as was the previous division. Anthony  won by one point after going into the final needing second or better to win only to slip off his pedals at the start and be almost half a lap down , dead last , on the first corner.

He then rode the best race I have ever seen him do , just to honor a pledge he made the previous day when he was a pall bearer at his grandmothers funeral. Well done Anthony ,your Nanna would be proud.

Second went to Nathan Condo-Evans who was ill , third went to Sarah Kinross who is riding well and fourth went to her brother Scott.

Over 30's over 5 heats and 4 laps Sponsored by EVANS Refridgeration & Air Conditioning , and only three riders fronted the tapes with local favourite , Robert Fleming (17) picking up the win. Robert never had it all his own way though as both John hill (16) and Darren Shultz (12) pushed him all the way. Look for a story soon on Darren Schultz and his amazing ACE he has restored and is racing.

Division One over 4 laps with 4X4 on the grid ,Sponsored by PORT LOCKSMITHS 156 Swan Tce. Glanville. had the biggest field with seventeen starters. They got off to a great start with McMillan excluded on the first grid , followed by a warning for all riders , on the first grid and a crash on the first corner of the first race!

The competition was pretty keen , as the scores indicate , with three riders dropping only a single point , Priest , Joel chadwick and Ty Geertsen on (15) while sitting pretty undefeated on his home track going into the final was non other than Daniel Pudney.Once the three on even scores had sorted out the grid positions the race got under way.

Daniel Pudney won over Ross Priest Ty Geertsen and Joel chadwick , who had a bit of a slip , ending his day.

The trophies were handed out to their respective winners , photos taken as the drizzle started to fall again. The speedway was quickly and efficently packed up and everyone departed for home.

As always a good meet put on by the LeFevre club and a club that must have a contact up high as the rain (once again) stayed away until racing was completed.
