Birmingham head to Rye House tonight... with the news that James Birkinshaw is on his way back to the club!
Birkinshaw, who has suffered a catalogue of injuries this season, is a firm favourite with the fans who were outraged when he was axed from the team four-weeks ago.
Now he's recovered and is fully fit and ready to race - and manager Graham Drury will reintroduce him in the home clash with high-flying Somerset this Wednesday when Danish star Kenneth Hansen makes his debut.
Said Birkinshaw: "Graham spoke to me in mid-week and asked about my fitness, I told him I was fit and he said if I was up to it I could have my place back. I'm overjoyed and I'm working hard to prepare for a big meeting on Wednesday, I can't wait to get started again."
Drury will talk to his riders immediately after tonight's meeting in Hertfordshire before announcing his full line-up for Wednesday, when a new set of rider averages come into effect.
