Plymouth booked their place in the end of season play-offs when they completed their Conference League fixtures with a 63-28 victory over Buxton at the St Boniface Arena on Friday evening.
The Devils have finished three points clear at the top of the table and must now wait on Boston and Weymouth, the only two teams who can overtake them.
Mark Simmonds and skipper Seemond Stephens were unbeaten for Plymouth and were well supported by Tom Brown and Kyle Hughes.
David Gough and reserve Jamie White-Williams also took advantage of a below strength Buxton side to pick up some impressive scores.
Paul Starke pulled out of the meeting with a knee injury after being sent crashing into the safety fence when visiting reserve Richard Andrews lost control in the second heat.
It is expected that Starke will be fit to take his place in an unchanged Plymouth side for Sunday’s Conference Trophy Final deciding leg against Boston in which they will be defending a 63-28 lead at the Norfolk Arena (7pm).
