Belle Vue captain Charlie Gjedde aims to lead by example as the Aces battle to steer clear of the Elite League relegation play-off.
The Danish star swept to a 15-point full house, his first maximum of the season, in a 60-30 demolition of lowly Wolverhampton on Wednesday night.
The One51 Aces, in desperate need of a winning flourish to their home programme, must continue in the same vein against struggling Coventry at Kirkmanshulme Lane next Monday before completing their fixtures with another visit from Wolverhampton on September 8.
They also have one more away match at Lakeside on September 10.
Gjedde said: "I was very pleased with the performance of the team. Wolverhampton had said on their website they were coming for the win but they didn't even get close to us. We pulled away from the beginning.
"It had been disappointing to be beaten at Wolverhampton on Monday because we were so close to an away win, only to lose in a last-heat decider.
"It will do us a lot of good in our battle to avoid the relegation play-off if we go to Lakeside and do the job there.
"It depends what the other teams at the bottom do but, hopefully, we can squeeze around finishing in a play-off position."
The Aces turned on a real team performance with youngsters Patrick Hougaard and Billy Forsberg again showing their massive potential with 19 points between them.
