BUSY BARGY...
Although there's no track action as such for the Wightlink Islanders side this week, young Kiwi reserve Andrew Bargh was a busy man over the Bank Holiday weekend! On Saturday he rode for the Weymouth Wildcats in their home Conference League match against Scunthorpe and scored eight points from four rides, including two heat wins. The match was abandoned due to heavy rain after 13 of the 15 scheduled heats had been completed. The scoreline stood at Weymouth 52 Scunthorpe 29 and that score will stand.
Then yesterday, on Bank Holiday Monday, he guested at reserve for the Reading Racers in their home 45-45 draw with King's Lynn, scoring 4+1 from five rides including a vital race win in heat 8.
NEXT WEEK...
The Wightlink Islanders return to action at the Wave 105 Smallbrook Stadium on Tuesday of next week with a home Premier League clash with the Stoke Potters and then they hit the road with an away league match at King's Lynn 24 hours later.
