Plymouth suffered a mixed time over the Bank Holiday week-end, having to settle for two points out of the eight at stake.
They beat Weymouth 51-42 at the St Boniface Arena on Friday evening, but suffered defeats in their final two away league matches of the season at Buxton on Sunday and Scunthorpe on Monday.
They went down 48-44 at Buxton and lost 51-39 against old rivals Scunthorpe, but remain top of the Conference League, one point ahead of Boston, who have two matches in hand, and Scunthorpe, who have now completed their league programme.
