SKIPPER Chris Harris and recent recruit Hans Andersen ensured silverware for the Buildbase Bees this season with a superb win in Sunday's Elite League Pairs at Swindon.
The Bees duo got the better of the host team in the Final, the Robins' Mads Korneliussen winning the race but his partner, Australian ace Leigh Adams, being pegged at the back by Andersen.
With Harris second in the race, the 4-3-2-0 scoring system to encourage team-riding saw the Buildbase Bees pair victorious.
Andersen won three of the pair's four qualifying rides, Harris following him home for maximum 7-2 advantages on two occasions having picked himself up from a first-ride fall when he was battling with Poole's Chris Holder.
With the top four pairs advancing to the semi-finals, Harris and Andersen faced Belle Vue and were content to pack in behind Jason Crump and ahead of Charlie Gjedde.
Swindon defeated Ipswich in the other semi-final, despite a race win for Rory Schlein, and it was Korneliussen who emerged in front in the Final for Swindon.
However, Harris established himself in second place as Andersen blocked out Adams and kept his rival the back for the whole race to see the Buildbase Bees run out winners.
