Plymouth are through to the final of the Conference Knock-Out Cup following a thrilling 94-92 aggregate victory over Rye House.
The Devils went down 56-37 in the second leg at Rye House on Sunday afternoon, but did enough to secure the aggregate win by two points following a last heat decider.
Mark Simmonds and skipper Seemond Stephens led the way for Plymouth, scoring 28 of the team’s points between them.
It looked ominous for Plymouth after 10 heats when Rye House were winning 39-21 on the day, having cut the overall deficit to only three points with five heats remaining. But the Devils responded with a six-point win by Simmonds on a tactical ride in heat 11.
Plymouth were leading by four points on aggregate going into the last heat with Robert Mear and Danny Halsey needing a 5-1 for Rye House against Simmonds and Stephens to force a replay.
Mear beat Simmonds on the line to complete a paid maximum but second place for the Devils number one was sufficient to secure a place in the final against either Boston or Scunthorpe.
