Mildenhall Speedway: Fen Tigers foiled in signing bid.

The hoped for addition to the Fen Tigers ranks in time for the Northern tour this weekend has been put on hold with their target unable to sign yet due to complications.

It is hoped that he will be cleared in time to make his debut in the next home meeting at West Row on Sunday 17th August when Rye House are the visitors.

Team boss Laurence Rogers was left frustrated by it all, “ I was hoping that the red tape involved could have been sorted but I had an e-mail off the BSPA offices to inform us that the rider we were targeting could not be cleared to be included in time for the Northern tour.”

“That is frustrating for him as he is really keen to link up with us and we are just as keen to have him on board. Had he been able to he would have slotted in at No. 4 and we would then have been able to use a guest reserve facility up to Michal Rajkowski’s 4.32 average and I had already had planned who I would be using.”

“We will now retain Rider Replacement for Michal and bring in a guest reserve up to Mark Baseby’s 3.12 average. There are only a limited number of riders to fit this band and we will use Glasgow’s Mitchell Davey at Edinburgh on Friday with Adam McKinna coming in at two his former tracks at Berwick on Saturday and Newcastle on Sunday.”
