Mildenhall Speedway: Red tape delays another new face in Fenland.

Following on from the capture of Lee Smart from Birmingham, the Mildenhall Fen Tigers have had a second signing delayed by ‘red tape’ but hope to be able to add the new rider to the line-up during their Northern tour this weekend.

The  rider concerned cannot be released from his current team’s 1 to 7 until Wednesday preventing him from being able to line-up for Fen Tigers at Edinburgh on Friday but all being well and red tape being cut he could be re-declared into the team in time to make his debut at Berwick on the Saturday night but as yet this cannot be confirmed.

Due to the slight problem caused by the delay in adding the second new face to the team then there has been a re-think from the Mildenhall promotion over their line-up and Lee Smart now comes in to replace Matt Wright in the side. Wright has struggled for points since being brought in to the team and will be joining Conference league Weymouth to help regain his confidence.

The new signing will then come in to cover for the injured Mark Baseby , who is out with back injuries sustained at Sheffield and unlikely to be fit until early September to return to the track.

Michal Rajkowski looks likely to be missing for about four weeks with his ankle and back injury and the club are looking at their options to replace him in the side during his absence.
