COVENTRY supporters attending Monday's clash with Peterborough at Brandon will receive first news of a new signing being made by the club.
The Buildbase Bees take on troubled Peterborough in a meeting which is every bit as important as Friday's match against Wolves which saw Coventry mount a dramatic fightback to take the points.
Owner Allen Trump confirmed after that meeting that team strengthening is set to take place for the month of August and beyond, and an announcement is expected during Monday's match.
On-track, Bees will welcome back Billy Janniro after his win in the second round of the American Championships on Saturday, and Ben Barker continues at reserve for the injured Stan Burza.
Peterborough are enduring tough times with captain Hans Andersen currently withholding his services due to unpaid wages - with plenty of rumours circulating concerning the future plans of the Showground club.
But they collected a shock win at Poole earlier in the season, and with Bjarne Pedersen lined-up to deputise for Andersen, Bees will still need to be on their guard especially with their former rider Morten Risager doubtless being keen to impress at reserve.
Bees manager Peter Oakes said: "We have to perform, we're capable of beating almost every team if we've got seven riders going - but we're capable of losing to almost anyone if we've only got three or four, and that inconsistency has been our weakness all season.
"We're looking to bring in a new face, and we hope to be in a situation to announce that on Monday, so fans attending the meeting will be able to hear it first-hand."
BUILDBASE BEES: Chris Harris, Olly Allen, Simon Stead, Billy Janniro, Rory Schlein, Andreas Messing, Ben Barker.
PETERBOROUGH: Bjarne Pedersen, Claus Vissing, Kenneth Bjerre, Henning Bager, Daniel King, Morten Risager, Ty Proctor.
*ACCOMPANIED children under the age of 11 will be admitted free of charge as the Bees repeat their successful summer reduced-admission policy of recent years.
