BUILDBASE Bees skipper Chris Harris was released from hospital late on Monday night and appears to have escaped serious injury.

There were concerns over his back after his high-speed trip into the fence during Heat 10 of the match against Lakeside, and Harris was taken away for x-rays after lengthy attention on the track.

Co-promoter Colin Pratt said: "Chris is back home now, and that's a relief to us because it looked like it could have been a lot worse.

"He'll have to see how he feels before deciding when he can return, but obviously we're hoping he'll be fit to race for us against Wolverhampton on Friday."

Bees also have a question mark over Olly Allen for the Wolves fixture, after he suffered shoulder damage in a separate crash against the Hammers.
