Plymouth will have their sights set on reaching the final of the Conference knock-out cup when they meet Rye House in the first leg of the semi-final at the St Boniface Arena on Friday evening (7.30pm).
The Devils make two changes from the side that lost 49-41 in the Conference League at Weymouth on Saturday evening.
Mark Simmonds returns from holiday in place of Kyle Hughes and Jaimie Pickard is recalled in place of 16-year-old Danny Stoneman.
Rye House will be unchanged from the side that lost 56-34 when they visited Plymouth in the Conference League last month. They again operate rider replacement for the unavailable Danny Betson and will look to see the remainder of the team provide greater all-round support for skipper Danny Halsey and former Plymouth rider Rob Smith.
Completing the main body of the team will be three times New Zealand under 21 champion Andrew Aldridge and former Weymouth rider Terry Day.
At reserve will be last season’s British under 15 champion Daniel Greenwood and 18-year-old Gary Cottham.
Meanwhile Plymouth have added a new member to their squad with the signing of 22-year-old Welsh discovery David Gough.
The grade three rider began at the Newport training school in 2001. He then rode for Carmarthen in 2002 and 2003 in addition to having a few outings for Newport in 2003.
