WORLD Cup Speedway returns to Brandon on Monday evening with Great Britain looking to book an automatic place in the Final.
But they face a stiff test with Denmark heavily fancied to win the tournament outright, and only the winners being assured of a spot at Vojens on Saturday.
The second and third placed nations face the dreaded Race-Off on Thursday, an event for which Poland and Russia have already qualified - with Australia into the Final after Saturday's first event at Leszno.
Last year's meeting was one of the highlights of the season as Great Britain roared to victory in a partisan atmosphere, only to disappoint in the Final itself.
This year's team has an even stronger Coventry flavour than last, with the five made up of three current Buildbase Bees riders and two who have spent several years with the club.
Captain Scott Nicholls led Coventry to five major honours during his three seasons at Brandon, whilst Lee Richardson rode for the Bees between 2000 and 2003.
The two current Eastbourne men are joined by Bees skipper Chris Harris and 2007 team-mates Simon Stead and Olly Allen.
Manager Jim Lynch said: "We've packed the team full of Coventry specialists, and we have nothing to lose if we get to the Final. That's our first priority, to reach the Final and then take things from there.
"Last year was a major disappointment when we never made an impression in the Final, and the lads involved are still hurting from that. They're desperate to put it right and hopefully that will be the case."
Supporters are advised to arrive at the stadium early, as queues built up near to start-time last year.
