WOLVERHAMPTON skipper Freddie Lindgren is urging his side to put an end to their nightmare form at Peterborough on Thursday night.
Lindgren leads his side into action just days before the launch of the World Cup campaign when Elite League racing takes a week’s break.
It’s Wolverhampton’s second visit to the East of England Showground this season having already run the Panthers close in April.
And in Ales Dryml, Niels Kristian Iversen and David Howe the Parrys International Wolves have three former Peterborough riders in their side – a fourth, Christian Hefenbrock, is ruled out through a hand injury.
Said Lindgren: “It’s been a nightmare season for us and we need to start getting some results to give us all a lift.
“I haven’t been as consistent as I wanted to be so I take my share of the blame but an away win would be the perfect boost for us.”
Wolverhampton bosses Chris Van Straaten and Peter Adams have confirmed they have held talks with several riders regarding bolstering the squad but fixture clashes with meetings abroad have prevented any moves to date.
Said Van Straaten: “We’re not giving up and hope something can happen after the World Cup next week.”
And Van Straaten is keen to remind fans the next Monmore action is on Monday, July 21, against Eastbourne.
