Kenneth Bjerre was injured in Denmark tonight whilst riding for his Danish club Esbjerg in a match against Fjelsted.

He was taken to hospital where it has been confirmed that he has broken the same leg he broke in 2005, and it now appears certain that he will miss the remainder of the 2008 season, although that is still to be officially clarified

The details surrounding his crash are not clear at this stage and a further update will be released when the full facts are known.

Peterborough Boss Colin Horton said: "I am absolutely devastated for him and it's the same leg that he broke last time, he was just starting to come good this year and then this happens.  Clearly this is a blow just when we didn't need it but my first concern is for Kenneth and we will be reviewing the situation when we have all the details."
