The Mildenhall Barmy Army Fen Tigers face the strong looking Reading Racers on Sunday 25th May at 4.30pm.

The meeting will see the return of three riders from Mildenhalls 2007 campaign in Tom P Madsen, Tomas Suchanek and Jamie Smith.

Mildenhall Promoter Simon Barton said,” This is going to be yet another tough test for the Tigers. In Ulrich Ostergaard they have the top rider in the premier league this season and he has certainly shown his liking for the West Row circuit in the past. And of course we welcome back three ex Tigers in Tom, Tomas and Jamie so it will be interesting to see how they fare against our current crop of riders.”

Jamie Smith returns to race for the first time at the scene of his horrific crash last season which saw him fly over the twelve-foot high stock car catch fence to land on the dog track. He was extremely fortunate to only suffer a broken ankle and ligament damage.

The last remaining place to be confirmed for the Tigers depends on the fitness of young reserve Mark Baseby who is aiming to test out his ankle injury this week.

Team manager Laurence Rogers said,” Tough one as not only do they have 3 ex mildenhall riders plus Nikki Glanz, they also have Ulrich Ostergaard who was all but unbeatable around West Row last year. In addition in Chris Mills they have the rider who topped scored for Berwick last year as a guest. So we know we are up against it and alternated the team around accordingly. Henning Loof drops to reserve with Jari Makinen moving in the other direction. We are awaiting fitness news on Mark Baseby and have Kyle Hughes on standby. Looks like being a cracker.”
