The Mildenhall Barmy Army Fen Tigers lost 54 to 39 away at Stoke on Saturday evening (17th May) watched by a large contingent from the Barmy Army and from the track staff.

Mildenhall started poorly losing three of the first four heats to a maximum five one result. After that Mildenhall held the Potters to just one point over the remaining eleven heats. Jan Graversen and guest Jack Roberts looked particular effective for the Tigers.

Mildenhall Promoter Simon Barton said,” It was an enjoyable evening after the first four races. Both our team and our fans put the effort in to ensure a decent performance and a good night out. It was particularly pleasing for me to see Jan looking so much better after his poor performance last Sunday at Mildenhall, he was much more like the Jan we have come to expect.”

Team manager Laurence Rogers said,” Bad start but once the set ups were sorted and we showed improved form only losing the last eleven heats 35 34 despite two unlucky exclusions. Michal Rajkowski rode despite being ill the previous night and while gating on 3 occasions and holding good positions unfortunately he couldn’t maintain these. Don’t know whether this was down to his illness but it was unlucky for the lad. Jack Roberts was a superb guest and was unfortunate in heat 8 to turn 360 degrees and get excluded and finally it was good to see Jan Graversen wining races again.”
