SCUNTHORPE SCORPIONS
SCUNTHORPE promoter Rob Godfrey was left fuming after seeing his side go down 46-44 in a dramatic meeting at Glasgow.
Tigers guest Kauko Nieminen – in for injured skipper Shane Parker – won the all-important last race decider.
Said Godfrey: “This is a bitter pill to swallow. I’d always got this down as one we could win. Obviously Richard Hall’s absence was costly but we shouldn’t have lost.”
WOLVERHAMPTON WOLVES
WOLVERHAMPTON boss Peter Adams admits his side are under pressure to start winning away from home.
The Monmore men have lost twice on home shale but Adams insists there is no need to press the panic button.
He said: “Most other clubs have dropped points at home. We’re just under that extra bit of pressure to start winning away now, two wins on the road would turn it around for us.”
