SWINDON ROBINS
SWINDON boss Alun Rossiter is backing Mads Korneliussen for a wildcard slot at the Danish Grand Prix next month.
Korneliussen has been in fine form for the Robins and finished third in the first round of the Danish Final on Saturday.
Said Rossiter: “Mads has made significant progress in the last few seasons, not just with Swindon, but throughout the speedway world and deserves a wildcard spot.”
POOLE PIRATES
POOLE’S Bjarne Pedersen has set himself a comeback target of next Saturday and the Swedish Grand Prix in Gothenburg.
The former Newcastle man suffered a broken hand in the Craven Shield defeat by Coventry a fortnight ago.
He said: “My hand is doing so much better and I really feel the progress. I expect to be ready for Sweden but I must talk to my doctor first.”
