EUROPEAN GRAND PRIX
LEIGH Adams moved into World Championship contention with victory in Saturday's European Grand Prix at Leszno.
The Australian was joined on the rostrum by Greg Hancock and Nicki Pedersen, who holds a two point lead at the top of the standings.
Adams said: "This is the one that I really wanted to win. It is my adopted home, the atmosphere was terrific and I am right back in the race."
BERWICK BANDITS
BERWICK'S clash with the Isle of Wight was abandoned after a serious accident which saw bikes fly into the supporters' area.
Two fans required treatment whilst riders Scott Smith and Paul Fry were fortunate to escape serious injury.
Bandits promoter Peter Waite said: "We have the two injured fans and their families uppermost in our minds and we wish them all the very best for a very swift recovery."
