HULL VIKINGS
FORMER Premier League treble winners Hull are to make a track return at Sheffield on Thursday.
The Vikings, who lost their Craven Park home in 2005 through financial difficulties, are still hoping to find an alternative site in the city.
Sheffield co-promoter David Hoggart said: “There is still a big demand for the return of Hull and it’s our pleasure to welcome them back at Sheffield.”
NEWCASTLE DIAMONDS
NEWCASTLE Ben Powell is currently witholding his services after he failed to arrive at Glasgow for the 46-44 Premier League win.
Powell has transport problems and the club claim they did all they could to help him.
Angry Diamonds chief George English said: “We arranged for Ben to have the use of a van and he still didn’t show. It was a remarkable win with only five riders, we’re delighted.”
