Astley & Tyldesley hosted Round 1 of the Manchester League Grand Prix series at Gin Pit on Wednesday.

44 races were held in 2 hours, with an excellent turn-out of juniors, but a poor turn-out of seniors from the visiting clubs.
 
A & T ran out easy winners in the Senior (Division 1) match, in their first defence of the trophy won last season. Remi Burchardt and Tomasz Wlodarczyk both raced unbeaten, with secondary registration signing Dariusz Pilas scoring well on his debut.
 
The Junior (Division 2) match, was a close fought affair, with Bury edging home from A & T and Stockport. There were unbeaten performances in each category.
