Just after the division four league round , the track got some preparation work in readiness for the Div one boys to tear it up.

Amazingly as it may seem the track holds up extremely well and seems to get faster as the surface beds in. This surface usually only needs a broom run over it to bring back a quality ,fast track.

The Ref for both leagues today was Mick Harley.

At the end of the parade lap the teams exited the track one by one until the Jets turn came and they just tookoff in unison , without a sound , like a long snake of six riders for a hot lap to exit the track,I don't know what others thought but I personally thought it looked great!

Enough of the fancy stuff , now down to some great racing!

Heat 1 and the Comets got off to a great start with a maximum against Murraylands The winner was Priest (C) from Brad Gentle (C) over Jaunay (M) and Brad Thompson (M).

Heat 2 murraylands is up straight away again with two fresh riders with a maximum from the Jets pair of Mathews (J) and Jolly (J) over Daniel Thompson (M) and Ritter (M) making life hard.

Heat 3 This was a heat of tactics of which some you win , some you lose! This was a lose situation for Chadwick.The race started out normal until the first corner where Edson was having trouble with Matt Gentle and couldn't buy a pass.Brad had already cleared out and was way ahead . Chadwick tried to slow Matt down so Ryan could pass but caused Matt to fall declaring the race right there.

That was on the last corner so it ended with Brad Gentle (C) winning Matt Gentle (C) second Edson (J) third and Chadwick (J) excluded.

Heat 4 a third straight maximum goes to the Comets of Priest (C) and Lynch (C) over Randall (M) and Daniel Thompson (M)

Heat 5 a much welcomed second maximum to the Jets when Mathews (J) and Jolly (J) took the points from Brad Thompson (M) and Daniel thompson (M).

Heat 7 an exclusion to Brad Gentle for putting both wheels on the infield helped Murraylands but Matt Gentle (C) won from Daniel Thompson (M) and Ritter (M) Brad Gentle (C) (EX).

Heat 8 another maximum to the Jets newly seeded riders of Daniels (J) and Walters (J) over Harper (M) and Randall (M).

well it's halfway through the event and there's a bit of a gap between the host club and the two visitors but stranger things have happened ,look what happened to the Power last night! There's not much between the two Adelaide teams ,just a couple of points so it should be an interesting grind to the finish.

Heat 10  the second half sees the comets off to a good start with another maximum for Matt Gentle (C) and Brad Gentle (C) over Harper (M) and Jaunay (M).

Heat 11 another maximum to the Jets pair of Daniels (J) and Edson (J) over Daniel Thompson (M) and Ritter (M) Thompson was unlucky to go down after tangling with Daniels.

Heat 12 even scoring again between the Comets and jets when Brad Gentle (C) won from Mathews (J) Chadwick (J) and Lucinda spear (C).

Heat 13 unlucky for some ,lucky for others when the Comets scored another maximum McMilan (C) won from Lynch (C) over Randall (M) and Jaunay (M).

Heat 14 the Jets bounce straight back with a maximum of their own,there was little between the Comets and the Jets today. Mathews (J) won from Edson (J) over Daniel thompson (M) and Randall (M).

Heat 15 this was to be a heartbreaker for the Jets as Chadwick ,once again threw a chain while in a good scoring position making it even points when he coasted the last lap to pick up a solitary point. Edson (J) won from Matt Gentle (C) brad Gentle (C) and Chadwick (J). that thrown chain was a part of the ulitimate outcome of this league session.

Heat 16 once again a maximum to the comets when Priest (C) won from McMilan (C) over Ritter (M) and Randall (M).

Heat 17 once again the Jets came straight back with a maximum to stay in touch with the Comets when Mathews (J) won from Jolly (J) over Jaunay (M) and Harper (M).

With only one race to go it was still on that the Jets could catch if not beat the Comets on the last ride of the day.

Heat 18 Chadwick (J) did all he could to help the Jets over the line by winning the last race but his partner Edson (J) was given a short back and sides by the Gentle boys Matt (C) and Brad (C) to make sure there was no one sided wins in the final race. The scoring ended up even scoring which was no use to the Jets.
