The winners of the inaugural Shorttrack of Nations 2007 are first to enter this year’s event and defend their title.
The biggest and most spectacular track event is coming to Germany! Sunday June 29th will see the unofficial championship for national teams contested on the 1000m cushion track in Mühldorf am Inn, Bavaria, Germany!
2007 was the premiere of the Shorttrack of Nations in Peterborough, UK. Seven teams fought for honours at the East of England Showground in front of thousands of spectators. The 4 countries that made the Grand final - USA, England, Italy and Holland provided one of the most breathtaking shorttrack races ever seen on the European continent!
Now with the rapidly increasing popularity of the International Mefo Sport Flattrack Cup, Germany is ready for the Flat track of nations!
And with the German based series not only contested on the short tracks, but also on several big 1000m tracks the name of Flattrack is well deserved!
The Bavarian club hosting this event is no coincidence whatsoever!
MSC Mühldorf has 85 years of racing history, staging many European and World championships. But also the fact that they support Flat track racing explains why they have grown to become one of the biggest and most prestigious clubs in Europe!!
English team captain and short track UK organizer Pete Boast recruited the very best English riders from the ranks of the 2007 Short track UK championship:
Team England
#77 Steve Hall
#54 Pete Boast
#71 Glyn Pocklington
Will these ace riders have what it takes to successfully defend their title?
