KING’S LYNN promoter Keith Chapman believes his side have got what it takes to get a result at Coventry on Monday (7.30).
The Roger Warnes Stars have won just one of their three Elite League meetings in 2016 and are desperate to bounce back from their defeat to Belle Vue last time out.
Chapman says the performances of top trio Niels-Kristian Iversen, Rory Schlein and Mads Korneliussen will have a big say in the outcome of the meeting against the Bees as the Adrian Flux Arena outfit go in search of their second league victory of the campaign.
“We were very disappointed with the result against Belle Vue the other week and we need to bounce back instantly,” said Chapman.
“It’s not going to be easy but we’ll be going there with a positive attitude and hopefully we can come away with a result.
“We’ll try and take something from the fact that they lost last time out to Wolverhampton but it’s all about our team focusing on what they do really.
“If we turn up with our right heads on and everyone does their job, especially at the top end of the team, then I think we’re more than capable of getting what would be a much needed win.
“We normally run Coventry pretty close at their place and some of the members in our team tend to go really well at Brandon too.
“At this time of the season you can’t read too much into any result really but if we could get a win on Monday, that would be huge to take us into our home match against Coventry on Wednesday.”
The Stars will be at full strength for the trip to the Midlands while Coventry include Great Britain representatives Chris Harris and Danny King in their line-up alongside former World No.2 Krzysztof Kasprzak.
COVENTRY: Krzysztof Kasprzak, Jason Garrity, Danny King, Kacper Woryna, Chris Harris, James Sarjeant, Josh Bates.
KING’S LYNN: Niels-Kristian Iversen, Kai Huckenbeck, Rory Schlein, Mads Korneliussen, Robert Lambert, Carl Wilkinson, Lewis Rose.
