Another star-studded line up has been announced for the 2015 Australian Speedway Sidecar Championship to be held at the Arunga Park Speedway in Alice Springs on April 4-5.

Motorcycling Australia Speedway Commission Chairman Ivan Golding said that all was in readiness for the event, which will be held at Arunga Park for the first time since 1985.

“It is great to take the national championships up there as we continue to promote sidecar racing in the Northern Territory,” Golding said.

“We have received quite strong interest from people looking to head up there for the Championships, and I believe most of the venues and accommodation are booked out already, so that is a great sign.”

Golding said the quality of riders in this year’s draw meant choosing a favourite to take out the title would prove to be extremely difficult.

Reigning national champions Grant Bond and Glenn Cox will be looking to repeat the dose from last year’s Championship at Loxford Park Speedway, but they will face stiff competition from an extremely well credentialed field.

Fresh off their Oceania Speedway Sidecar Championship victory this year, five-time Australian champion Darrin Treloar will again team up with Blake Cox in an attempt to improve on their third placing from last year, while Queensland duo Dave Bottrell and Ben Pitt will be looking to go one better after finishing in runner-up position in 2014.

“There’s probably up to six riders who are really strong contenders, and the Qualifying Meeting also has quite a strong field as well,” Golding said.

The draw is as follows:
