Cornwall Solo Grass Track Club run the third points championship meeting of season on Sunday (10th June) at Truthan Farm, St Erme, with a 52 race program featuring a full program of Solo, 1000cc Sidecar and Youth racing with 68 competitors booked in.
St Austell’s Roger Lobb looks set to head up the Solo field after a win and leading the 500cc final in his comeback meeting two weeks ago before mechanical problems beat the rain to end his day. Shaun Pascoe, Gavin Horsborough and Nick Mallett should also feature strongly. The top 3 in the 350cc solos, Chesney King, Sam Foley and Jon Shanes, are all expected to compete.
A full entry of 12 sidecars again look set to serve up close action with local crews Andy Gribble/Mark Truscott, Phil Syms/Daniel Bray, Joseph Sturtridge/Lee Toms, Jaime Bree/James Goudge, Lee Hicks/Phil Collyer and Stephen Palmer/Shaun Hoskin taking to the track.
Devon based crews Alfie & Terry Pearn, Jim Pearn/Paul Uglow, Ricky McAuley/Paul Edmonds, Clive Stoneman/Matt Vickery are joined by Daryl Sweetland/Mike Bishop from Wimborne and Simon Heal/Wayne Rickard from Bridgewater.
24 youth competitors have booked into complete across the four classes.
The venue will be signposted from the A30 Carland Cross Roundabout. Admission is £6 for Adults, £3 for Senior Citizens and Children Under 14 Free. Practice starts at 11.30am with racing at 1pm. Refreshments and Toilets will be available on site during the day.
