The 2013 GasGas Victorian Junior and Senior Dirt Track Championships is shaping up as the biggest dirt track meeting staged in the state for a number of years.
The Harley Club of Victoria will host the championship meeting at the State Motorcycle Sports Complex at Broadford on the weekend of October 12 and 13 and in a tremendous boost for the meeting GasGas Motorcycles have come on board as a naming rights sponsor.
Harley Club President Richard Loft said “We are really pleased to have a quality brand such as GasGas come on board as naming rights sponsor for the event. The committee have been working hard planning the event and I’m sure that the support of GasGas will enable the club to run the event with a level of professionalism that would not have been otherwise possible”.
Jeff Gleeson from GasGas is equally enthusiastic. He said “Dirt track is such an exciting discipline and we are very happy to be involved with the 2013 GasGas Victorian State titles. It's building into a big event and we are really looking forward to it”.
Information about the meeting is contained in the Supplementary Regs and together with an entry form can be found on the Motorcycling Victoria website.
Dirt track racing in Victoria is enjoying a resurgence with the Harley Club hosting increased numbers at their club days and “Come and Try’ days this year.
The championship meeting will cater for riders from the youngest licence holders through to the “Over 40s” class, so if you want to be part of it, remember that entries close this Friday, September 27.
